What Is Tarot?

Tarot cards have been used for hundreds of years for guidance as well as to make predictions. People use their cards in different ways; some use them to contact their spirit guides and some people just use them for a daily dose of guidance.

How Did It Start?

There are many different stories about the origin of the tarot, but it is said that tarot cards originated in Northern Italy in the 1400s simply as a game! It spread to France - specifically Marseilles- where it became very popular. During the Renaissance period in Southern France, the ideas surrounding the cards began to change. They thought that the cards represented ancient spiritual symbols such as the planets, the elements and even Kabbalah. People started to become more interested in our existence and wanted to learn more, so as the cards had a spiritual meaning, they used tarot as a way to learn, predict the future and get guidance from the higher power.
